Classic Books Library

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Classic Books Library is a place to read. We ask you for as little as possible, we keep it safe, and we never sell or share it. This policy sets out exactly what we hold and why.

1. What we collect

The only personal information we ask for is your email address, together with a username you choose. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us only your email address.

We do not ask for your name, postal address, telephone number, date of birth or any other personal details, and we do not collect them in any other way.

2. What your account records

To run your account, we keep your membership plan and its dates, and the records you create by using the Library: the books you add to your favorites, the chapter you last opened in each book, and the books you download. They are shown to you on your account page and are used for nothing else.

3. How we use your email address

Your email address identifies your account and is used solely to manage your account and membership.

We never sell, rent, publish or disclose your email address to any third party.

4. Payments

Membership payments are processed by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments. Your card and billing details go directly to them and never reach us; we receive only the confirmation that your membership is paid.

5. Cookies and security

We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in, and a small companion cookie that tells our pages you are signed in. We use no advertising cookies, no tracking and no third-party analytics.

Registration and sign-in are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that keeps automated abuse out without asking you to solve puzzles.

6. Where your data is kept

Your account is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure, and every connection to the Library is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to account data is limited to the operation of the Library.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Your account is closed at once, and you are signed out on every device.

All data linked to your account — your email address, username, reading history, download history and favorites — is then permanently erased within 30 days, except payment records that the law requires us to keep. A membership on the account ends when the account is deleted.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date.
